Several years ago, I developed spurs on my right knee. It was like very coarse sandpaper was in the joint and every move was extremely painful. I could hardly go anywhere without leaning heavily on a cane for support. The doctor told me the best he could do for me was a lifetime prescription for pain medication and to get used to it from now on.
I was not going to accept that answer if I could find something better so I went on a search.
I discovered that a tablespoonful of honey combined with a heavy sprinkling of cinnamon mixed with food or drink in a daily dose was a well known and age old remedy for joint pain. I started using it right then and have been taking the combination with my morning coffee ever since.
The spurs dissolved and were gone within days. All the other sharp stabs of pain in my joints vanished and have not come back all these years later. I dropped using the cane within the first week after starting. I would have had to quit my yard word years ago without this discovery. Never needed the pain meds.
If by chance moisture does change the consistency of whatever is left in the jar, just put the jar in a pan of hot water for a few hours and it will all melt back into a clear clean useable supply of all that is left, including any that solidified all along the insides all the way to the top. Just wash off the rim of the jar and lid in hot water so it can be taken off and put back on quite easily.
Oh wow, thanks for sharing! I'm glad you found a nice little remedy that worked for you

Some months ago, I started having aches and twinges in my thumb and other fingers. It was more on the pads rather than the joints but still very annoying. I'd wake up in pain because the fingers would go stiff, numb and very tight, enough to wake me up. I went to the doctors and pharmacies, but nothing they gave me seemed to get rid of the discomfort. I even had an X-ray done but it broughtup nothing. Carpel tunnel syndrome was ruled out. Nobody could figure out what the issue was. I even did a few sessions of physio but had no joy there!
In the end I decided to start applying those sticky cooling pads to my wrists and thumbs before bed, and that did the job. For the most part, the discomform has gone. However, every so often, I feel a little twinge in the thumb. So, I'll be trying your method from tomorrow morning. Thank you very much

it can spoil if the jar got opened and the seal is broken
Yes, you're right... the lid has to be sealed tight and the honey stored properly.
