So we have the first medal for India in these Summer Olympics 2024 in Paris.
Manu Bhaker wins Bronze Medal in 10M Air Pistol Shooting event.
She is the first Woman Shooting medalist after 4 Men Indian Shooting medalists.

A truly inspiring win and hopefully we will see more medals adding to Indian Medal Haul this Olympics.

The opening ceremony was a Big Grand affair in terms of what was planned and what was executed.
However, the problem was that it was staged outside a Stadium, along a River bank (Seine River) and it rained a lot during the ceremony.
That could be counted as a negative and contributed to much of the criticism.

Yes he is in the news all over. Some people on the Internet joked that he is actually a Spy and deliberately did not win the Gold, else he would have been under suspicion !!

Yes we have big hopes from Neeraj Chopra. Wrestlers are still in fray but not sure how well would they do.

Sadly he got only silver and his Gold would have helped India grab a better ranking but instead now Pakistan have better ranking than India

I think Arshad Nadeem has risen through his own efforts. As of now, The Olympic preparation system in India is much better than that in Pakistan.
India though should have won more medals. In many events, there was a 4th place finish.
What I did not like was that Neeraj Chopra had many wrong takes. May be he was trying to cross the 90 M limit.
And of course, it would even be better that Sports get even more interest from Public and we have more players of the calibre of Manu Bhaker, PV Sindhu, Neeraj Chopra and Harmanpreet Singh.
