Your Daily Meal Diary

Postby Spontaneo » 25 Feb 2024, 18:00

Would you like to have a thread about our daily meal plans? If so, I shall begin.

My food diary for today:

egg and cheese on English muffin
cheeseburger on toast with hamburger dill chips
grilled cheese
air fryer potatoes

Iced mochas
mochas

With all of this, I am still under 1, 200 calories!

I am giving myself a break from Slim Fast shakes today, but night change my mind.

Yesterday, for breakfast I had homemade baked beans on toast and a glass of orange juice, then a cup of black tea.

After I worked out I had a glass (500ml) of protein water (it's like cordial, but with no sugar, and pea protein, watermelon flavoured). Then I had a light snack of some leftover felafel balls with sweet chilli sauce.

For lunch I had pasta with pesto, green olives and cashews, and a plum.

In the afternoon I had a black tea and some protein ball things my partner bought (they have dates and nuts and stuff, very tasty).

Dinner was a veggie Korma with dahl and brown rice. I had a low carb beer with it (never tried them before but they're nice, and IPA). I had another beer after dinner, and a chocolate bar.

My appetite is usually pretty full. My Slim Fast shakes do the trick. I am almost out of shake mix and cannot afford a new canister right now, So, I am going to rely on my own smoothies. For example, peanut butter and jelly smoothies.

"Snacks" is a bad word. I call them mini-meals, if needed.

Today morning I had Idlis( steamed rice and dal cakes) with spicy tangy sambhar ( lentil soup with lots of vegetables) and tomato chutney( made with tomato, chickpeas and roasted peanuts and a piece of coconut).
Just now while waiting outside the exam centre, I had a fresh pineapple juice. It was refreshing.
I will be late for lunch as we will reach home late. I wanted to have a juice to let me go till then.

Re: Your Daily Meal Diary

Yesterday I had:
Breakfast: a smoothie bowl with beetroot, apple, berries, banana, almond butter, hemp seed and muesli, and a cup of black tea.

Lunch: leftover lentil soup with toast

Tea in the afternoon.

Dinner: veggie Pad Thai with tofu.
Also two beers (one non alcoholic, one a different kind with alcohol- what was left in the fridge).

Usually I have snacks of some sort in between meals but yesterday I was busy so I didn't.

Yesterday I had:
Breakfast - scrambled eggs on toast with vegemite, a glass of fruit juice, a cup of black tea.

Lunch- I went to see my family, so it was a larger than usual lunch:
2 salads (a simple garden salad, and one with beetroot, pistachios, pepitas, vegan feta, cranberries and lettuce with a honey mustard dressing.
Veggie sausages
There was bread but I didn't have any because I filled up on salad.
Vegan chocolate cheese cake.

Yesterday I had:

Breakfast:
Two fried eggs with some soy bacon.
A glass of orange juice.
black tea.

Some trail mix stuff (It has dried fruit and muesli and things and rice bran syrup I think. Not a fan. It got stuck in my teeth)

Protein water.

Lunch:
Leftover beetroot salad.

Small piece of chocolate slice. I made it with hemp seeds and pumpkin meal in the base and used vegan Nutella as icing so it's got extra protein but still tastes like chocolate.
Black tea.

Protein water.

Dinner:
Gnocchi with a tomato based sauce, with mushrooms.
Glass of non alcoholic wine.

Later I watched a movie and had a bowl of potato chips and some wine. I shouldn't really do that late at night.

Yesterday:
Breakfast- scrambled eggs on toast with vegemite, glass of juice, black tea

salted almonds

lunch- leftover 4 bean curry, brown rice, a plum

choc protein slice

Dinner- noodles with tofu and peanuts

Today so far I've had:
Breakfast- orange juice, French toast with maple syrup and berries, black tea.

Lunch- I was out with friends so got avocado toast at a cafe. It was bit weird (came with broccolini, fresh strawberries and crispy dried sweet potato) and expensive but tasty.

afternoon tea- I'm currently having a cup of black tea with a red bean mochi

Dinner- Dinner will be a veggie roast (soy roast, potatoes, sweet potato, pumpkin, peas and onions), probably with a glass of non alcoholic wine.
