When I was in grammar school (many years ago) on May Day (may 1) we always did the MayPole Dance with colored streamers hanging from a tall pole and a kid on the end of each one. They would plan music and every other kid would circle the pole in opposite directions weaving a pattern from top to bottom on the pole. It was pretty cool, but I don't see it done anymore.
