Food and Exercise Diaries

Postby Spontaneo » 28 Jan 2023, 22:52

Do you keep a food and exercise diary? If not, you really should.

There are people who eat too much.

There are people who do not eat enough.

There are people who do not exercise.

There are people who actually exercise too much.

Personally, I fall between the categories of not eating enough (I often forget to eat) and not exercising enough. Very strange, yes?

https://www.myfitnesspal.com keeps me held accountable as I have told you in the past.

How about you? What categories do you fall under?

Yes. I keep a food and exercise journal because it keeps me on track with my health and well-being goals. Along with my exercise routine and other physical activity, I log my food, snacks, and water intake.

I don't keep a track of what I eat but as I follow a healthy diet I am not worried with that. I have a schedule to workout that I try to follow religiously and I am seeing the results of my efforts.

No, I don't keep a food and exercise journal. But I have a routine for exercise and the food I take. I take a morning walk everyday. I eat oatmeal, egg and bread for breakfast, have meat and vegetables for lunch, fish for dinner. I also eat fruits everyday.

Yes! A routine in eating is good!

What particular meal do you have for lunch? Ground beef? If so, how do you prepare the dish?

I love beer-battered fish.

Keep up the good work!

I don't keep a journal, but I DO try to keep my calorie-count down to the amount that I need (according to my weight, height, age, gender & activity-level).

The word Diet is built on ancient words that mean "to Take Apart (Dia-, to Give, Allot).

The meaning "Assembly of Delegates" comes from the same ancient words, but it's also associated with words that mean "Regimen, Day, Shine."

What a good idea! This is just an illustration of what happened to me recently. Actually I don't know the amount of food to eat to get satisfied. If I eat small food, I will think I'm not doing myself well, then I eat another food to supplement.
Few days ago, I ate two food together to get satisfied but unfortunately I fell into category of going to toilet more than twice in a day.

Not for food, but I do keep one for exercise. I like to keep track of what kinds of exercise I do and how often. I just have a paper planner with a tracker page, and I colour the boxes in different colours for different activities. It's helped me to increase my activity over time.

What about those in the "almost" Middle Path?
I too sometimes think in the terms of "Diary" but well, it is something I cannot do on a regular basis.
It is randomized talk that I do bring up from time to time.

How you can forgot eat? Do you take rest from job or you working for 10 hours without breaks? In breaks your body should tell you eat something. I can understand if you forgot drink water, but eat is weird.

Sometimes you can get distracted with things you have to worry about other than 'how you feel.'

It is not that I work too much. I have friends who forget to eat also. We are not weird.
