The carnivorous elephant

Postby Netherrealmer » 12 Dec 2022, 17:39

In the heart of an Indian village, a horrifying tale unfolded. Poachers, driven by greed, snatched the life of an elephant mother's precious calf. Elephants, possessing memories that rival our own, can even recognize human faces. This wasn't just any elephant; it was a creature driven by a primal urge for vengeance. Most elephants are gentle giants, subsisting on a plant-based diet. But this mother, consumed by grief and rage, craved retribution against the humans who stole her future.

There's an undeniable truth in the animal kingdom: a mother defending her young is a force to be reckoned with. While encounters with solitary bears, male or female, might leave room for escape, a mother bear defending her cubs will stop at nothing to ensure their safety. Imagine then, the terrifying power of a grieving elephant mother, her immense strength fueled by a singular purpose – vengeance.

This tragedy occurred back in 2011, and the chilling details seem to have been buried by the algorithms that govern online content. News clips are scarce, forcing us to rely on written accounts.

There is also a similar incident in Africa with another mother elephant.

Both man-eating mother elephant had human meat found inside their stomach during autopsy.

There is an old news in 1888 about a male elephant who ate circus trainers

The article now uses stronger verbs and imagery to create a more suspenseful atmosphere. It emphasizes the elephant's intelligence and the brutality of the poachers' act.

Yes, this incident did make news back then.
Elephants are known for their sharp memory. That's why we use elephant's memory to talk about any sharp memory.
This is not the only incident of its kind. A couple of more similar incidents have been encountered from different parts of the world.

Elephants are very intelligent and seem to have a culture/set of customs.
I don't think they like meat, so the reason behind that gesture might be similar to the one of the exocannibal practices you can find in human tribes.
It can be weird for some because of the saying "you are what you eat", so why would you want to eat people you despise, your enemies? :?
Yet, in some cultures, it's a common way to humiliate the enemy.

Elephants are intelligent animals which means they can also be driven by strong emotional damages. Although I know nothing about the new but its obvious that the animal in question actually exhibited human behavior just at a lower IQ.(grudge)

I LOVE ELEPHANTS. <3
Even though they are huge in size, they are really gentle creatures. But I do know better than to piss them off! :D

Where do you get this stuff from? I can understand the pain that must have caused a herbivore to start eating meat. Taking away a child from any mother (mammals) is a traumatic process and can last for life with adverse implications.

I have no desire to keep any elephant in my back yard and the fear of having it eat me is not part of that concern.

Elephants are naturally caring animals, but if they become angry or seek revenge, it can be difficult to protect ourselves from them.

Elephants have a very strong memory. They never forget the persons who does any harm to them and punishes them even after years.

Ganesha protect us.

But if you are out to destroy nature, nature will destroy you.

I have sympathy for Elephant here, and other animals. Development should not go against nature.

Elephants don't have to eat you to be scary. Take a gander at this poor "mahout" as he tended to an elephant in his care.
