Wrestling or UFC?

Postby Icefrost » 28 May 2022, 07:50

Wrestling and UFC are combat sports that's very dangerous because those that are involved in it are extremely professional who know the risk they are getting involved in. It's why viewers are advised to never try what they see at home, school or anywhere.

Between wrestling and UFC which one do you think is more fun and dangerous?

They have different fanbase. Wrestling fans dont like UFC despite having real matches because the MMA fighters are boring and lacking larger than life personality because its real, there are no storylines which wrestling fans love.

UFC fans don't like wrestling because its scripted not knowing wrestlers experience more injuries than MMA fighters.

There are now wrestlers who had proven they can win real fights like Brock lesnar, Ken Shamrock, Bobby Lashley and Jack Swagger.

Then there are also MMA fighters who did well in WWE and AEW like Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Paige Van Zant and Matt Riddle

In my opinion, UFC is much more entertaining and dangerous at the same time as fighter don't know what can happen in the next second on the other hand wrestling is scripted and both wrestlers just perform the stunts they already practiced.

That assumption is wrong. MMA fighters have 3 matches a year. Their bodies have lots of time to heal. Wrestlers do body slams and gets kicked in the head on a daily basis. Most wrestlers die before the age 60 because of the damage of their bodies. MMA fighters only got hurt when they have matches. So they have longer lives.

I agree with that the long term damage faced by wrestlers is much more as compared to UFC fighters. Also the UFC fights are stopped at the right time before it gets ugly.

As a fan of both wrestling and MMA let me give you my perspective . Wrestling is entertaining and yes very much scripted. I have been watching it for years and being scripted ,I have seen accidents happen. Recently a superstar got his neck broken due to a move that went wrong. MMA on the other hand is real and not scripted. It is also entertaining and yes some of the matches can drag on and some of them end in the first round which is really fun to watch

Wrestling or Pro Wrestling?
Wrestling is a real sport like Boxing, comparing Wrestling with Pro Wrestling isn't right.
