Missing Indian Premier League cricket(IPL) 2020

Postby ptrikha21 » 19 Apr 2020, 11:28

If the things had been normal, we would have been watching IPL 2020. That is Indian Premier League(IPL)cricket. This is a club format tournament, for Twenty-20 format.
This is a big money generating tournament, and many Indian and other players make good amount from it.
However, it has had to be indefinitely postponed due to the current Pandemic conditions.
No doubt both the players and organizers set to lose.
Yet it is also a loss of sporting entertainment for us, the spectators.
There are probabilities of this happening in late September or October, but nothing is certain as of now.

Yes, it is loss for the players, organizers and the cricket enthusiasts. In fact it was relief for these people when Government initially thought of holding this tournament without any audience and just telecast the match on TV, but then because of Covid 19's severeness this idea was dropped and every one got frustrated with that move. But I think that is a good move taken by the Government in the interest of people's health!

Hi, How is your overall health these days? You do not seem much active on Mylot. Or may be I am not able to catch up with you there!

Well, the severity even made the organizers and governments to scrap the India-South Africa ODI series in March, as Covid 19 cases had begun to rise.
Suresh Raina has made a proposal about virtual reality to connect with audience.
But active sports would still take some 5-6 months to be back.
