The Offering-by-Fire 'burned with a sweet aroma.' The Fires of Sheol burned with a "different" aroma (I'm not sure if The Bible ever mentions 'that stink). But both odors floated up into the same atmosphere; one can only guess 'how soon the two odors came together' and 'which one over-powered the other' (and maybe 'flavoring the rain-water').
