Muhammad Ali and "Flo-Jo" immediately came to mind.

I found a list of winners for the Summer Olympics. There's a bunch of them!

I am not so much into the Winter Olympics, although I do like figure skating.

Great question!

At one time, I collected stuff about the Olympics.
But my blog where I was collecting got deleted. Got no energy to start over.

Yahh!! We are so, so proud of him. Wayde van Niekerk - South Africa. He is the current world record holder, world champion and Olympic champion in the 400 metres, and also holds the world best time in the 300 metres.

Since you did not clarify which country I had to look her up.

"Sandra Perković (born 21 June 1990) is a Croatian discus thrower." (Wikipedia)

Cool! Croatia is a country I've always wanted to visit. :)

Since the 2018 Winter Olympics is in South Korea, sharing a link to a TIME Magazine article that might interest you. Moments in Olympic history. Also saving it here because you've renewed my interest in this topic.

I am not so much into the Winter Olympics too because we have no winter here.

I'm glad that you liked my question.

This is the first time I heard of him. So I looked him up in Youtube --- his 400m run was brilliant.

I have to laugh because people say the names as if everybody else KNOWS!

Who is the athlete and what country are they representing? HOLLER!! :D

If you're proud of them SHOUT OUT WHO THEY REPRESENTIN'!

Because if they're not USA I will have to go look them up.

"David Lekuta Rudisha, MBS (born 17 December 1988) is a Kenyan middle-distance runner. He is the 2012 and 2016 Olympic champion, 2-time World Champion (2011 and 2015), and world record holder in the 800 metres. Rudisha is the first and only person to ever run under 1:41 for the event,[2] and he holds the three fastest, six of the eight fastest, and half of the twenty fastest times ever run in this event.[3] Rudisha has won a record 3 consecutive Track & Field Athlete of the Year awards (tied with Carl Lewis), and also won the IAAF World Athlete of the Year award in 2010." (Wikipedia)

By the way, I didn't know David Rudisha but I do know who Carl Lewis is.

See what I mean??
