What's the BEST thing in life you have EVER done?

Postby liveonline » 12 Dec 2017, 15:30

Hello everyone how you all been? I thought I'd give you all something new to think about
I haven't been here in a few days so this ought to be a treat to answer with ease I hope for you
The best thing I have have ever done in life is a FEW things, & have NO regrets about them either.

1. I started a Rabbit Business out of the blue 30 yrs ago in Fla & did a GREAT job at it before I had
learned ANYTHING about raising rabbits & by the time I was a yr into it I was WELL on my way
that the town we lived in had me nicknamed the rabbit lady & anyone that wanted a rabbit they
came to me that MOST the town had me business from other areas that I couldn't keep a rabbit
on hand for very long cause they were wanted for food, pets, snake food, photos, fairs, I loved it.

2. We lost our place in Fla 11 yrs ago by the housing bubble that failed A LOT of people just like
me in 2007, we (me & husband) we had bought us 3 acres in Fla & 10 yrs later after paying off
the land we had bought us a NEW M H to live in after living in a used one that was falling apart
but when we lost everything in the housing bubble that failed us all & left us homeless we had
our hearts crushed to NO end & had felt like we were taken advantage of & about killed us :x

So instead of trying to pick ourselves back up to try all over again in fla we lived in a 1 man camper
in campsites, we lived in 2 of them in a 2 yr time & finally decided to leave everything we lost B-hind
us & moved to Indiana away from everyone we knew, everything we had, everything we had LOST &
since we have been here I went on a self healing track to work through the hardship I was dealing
with within myself, I hated everything around me everything that we were dealing with & life too.

But it's been like 11 yrs now & I'm JUST now getting through the pain & hardship we've suffered
it took a lot to live through in them 11 yrs since we lost the place we had in Fla but the BEST thing
I have done to do that was to move into my OWN place right behind the trailer my husband lives in
& do my own thing to make it my own since it isn't big enough for the 2 of us together & THAT is
what has helped me deal with everything we have went through in our 30 yrs on marriage & life
are we still happy in our marriage? yes we still are very happy & it's the best thing I could have done.

I would like to hear your story of what you have done that was the best thing you have ever done.

I think probably taking on custody of my granddaughter because if I hadn't she would have gone into the care system. It's been a sacrifice in some ways as I haven't been able to do the things I wanted but having said that I wouldn't have it any other way. <3

I've drifted through life all the way to retirement without any particular claim to fame. I've held dozens of jobs to support myself, but have never quite fit in anywhere to make any one of them a lifetime career goal. I've had times when money was dripping off the trees and I have had times when money was so scarce I've lived days on end with nothing to eat but wild berries.

I somehow don't consider myself a citizen of this planet, but only a visitor for a time. I seem to have a specific assignment from a higher power to fulfill. I don't have much, but God provides what I need when I need it. (See Matthew 6:26)

Life is not about being famous. The most well known people in history are now nothing but a few lines in history. Most of us are not remembered at all once those we know join us on the other side of that mysterious door at the end of the hall.

Life is not about wealth. You may eventually have more in your possession than you can possibly ever use, but you can't take a thing with you when you take your exit. You are simply responsible for being the guardian of all that wealth, and someday you will find it is little more than millstones around your neck. It is never truly yours anyway, but merely rented while you are on this planet.

The only thing I have ever done to be truly happy is the times I am able to perform angel duty. That is, to suddenly find myself available for someone who needs help in any small way and to enjoy helping them through that time of need with no recognition or compensation. Participating in those opportunities leaves me floating for hours. No earthly pleasure comes close. I suppose those are the times I am at my very best.

The best thing I think I've ever done for myself and for my family is to change religion. We are Catholics since birth and we convert to Born Again Christian. We now read the bible often and we have a different way of worshipping God. I think I save my family from hell and false religion :)

The best thing that ever happened to me was when I decided to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I am not perfect and never will be, but I have grace given by God that each time I fall, I know and have faith that He will lift me up and that He is my strength.

I have to say that with what you wrote is very inspiring, sometimes life throws us curve balls
& we have to make the best of what comes our way with it & that's all we can do & just be thankful
that we have a story to tell at some point in our lives that we can learn from & teach others with.

As I read your post, I am impressed spiritually. That is the best the ever happened to anyone's life. Why I do appreciate it for it is also the best thing that ever happened not only to me but to all of my family members who were baptized after we made a commitment and covenant to follow Jesus. It was sometime in 1980 that I was baptized in the Church. Until now I am still active in the Church with a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

There's no other best thing I have done in life other than giving time to thank the Heaven Above by participating religious activities. It is my way showing how thankful I am even I'm on my hardest time.

I think the best thing in life I had done was to become strong for my family and continue to provide for them despite depression. I lost my father and he is my best friend. I thought I cannot move forward but I choose to move on and have a life that he dreams for us.
