I see every kind of sports in Olympic games. Eeven less popular sports than Cricket are there. So I am really interested about why they do that and what are their reasons.

Is there any plans to add it in next Olympics?

What time span would they put on cricket? A one day match? Most people like to watch sport and athletics, apart from the marathon, over a short period of time. I don't think many people would be interested in cricket as an olympic sport.

I see the point. They have t20s which is twenty overs per team. If three hours feels too long, they can reduce the overs to 15 or 10.

Maybe more people should start playing cricket for it to be recognized in other countries then someone could suggest to have it included in the Olympics

I wonder what criteria they use to decide what events get included in the Olympic games. Whether individual or team, winter or summer, there are a lot of events that people would like to be added to the Olympics.

I've also wondered why cricket wasn't part of the Olympics sports. I mean, even curling has a place in the Olympics! It's really the only time I get to see that sport played.

Cricket was part of the Olympics in the year 1900 and was planned for 1904 but was removed due to the lack of number of teams.
It had to wait for a long time.
However, it would be reintroduced in the Los Angeles 2028 in Twenty - 20 format.
Now, even with some European countries, Canada, USA having Cricket Teams and some good players,
The Olympics 2028 Cricket would be worth watching!
