Touching wood, I think I am finally almost over the stupid lingering cough that's been keeping me awake at night. It's going to be a big week at work so hopefully I will be able to talk like a normal person again.

Had a busy schedule today as I had three lessons, a football match on tv and a 2-hour Skype call with family back in the UK. Once all that was done, I squeezed in a 30-minute walk. I prefer to do 45-60 minutes but I guess something is better than nothing.

I enjoyed my Sunday and it was a relaxing day and thankfully it was the 1st day of the month and it set up the tone for the whole month

Odd/funny situation at work. One of the properties I maintain is a row of buildings along a narrow country road. There is a strip of gravel between the road and the front of the properties. A lot of weeds settle in the gravel and I keep working on removing them, but new weeds show up every time I go back for the next scheduled visit. I've been battling new weeds all summer far more than usual in past years. I even called the landlord to ask if it might be OK to just mow the weeds as an extra part of the lawn, but he insisted he wanted it all to be a gravel edge along the property line so I dug in yet again.

While I was working on them again today, a tenant happened to come outside to toss her garbage and we struck up a friendly chat. She asked what I was doing and I told her about the weed problem. She was startled and explained that her son thought it would be great if there was a lawn there instead of the gravel. He had been spreading new lawn seed all summer long and wondering why it had not yet grown into a nice lawn. Turns out we had been in a battle all summer long.

The conversation with the landlord was not more than 10 minutes before the conversation with the tenant, but both on the same day after months of fighting the weeds. Yet another example of something falling in my lap just before I needed it. I was able to tell her with authority to stop spreading the grass seeds.

DIdn't sleep well last night and woke up earlier than I usually do. You know what's annoying? I am watching these K-dramas and they are kind of like American soap operas. A whole lot of drama going on.

Anyway, I'm annoyed because when I wake up unexpectedly the last episode of one of those K-dramas pops into my head. They usually end each episode with a cliffhanger so you have to come back to find out what happened. But since I'm in the USA, I have to wait patiently for the episode to become available and then wait some more until English subtitles appear. Mind you, they upload episodes daily, so I don't have to wait long. But that one day of waiting seems like a thousand years.

I went to a funeral for a friend this morning, so I'm sad, but okay. Now I'm going to drink some tea and just take it easy for the afternoon I think.

It's a good day, I got payment from FC, rained a little in the morning but now its back to sunny

Eh! The usual. Got disgusted with Elon Musk, various American politicians, etc., and shouted from a mountaintop! On the plus side, some Russians got arrested for trying to interfere with US elections.

I had a nightmare while sleeping in the middle of the night. I pray to the blessed virgin Mary that such nightmare never happens again.

I got library cookbooks ready to be returned. Tonight, I am going to review e-cookbooks.

I might bleach the bathroom tonight too. I do all of the chores.

There is nothing good to report but it's still a fine day as long as I don't have anything bad LOL but yes I ordered milk and it was spoiled so I got a refund from Amazon
