I did watch for the women's gymnastics because that's my favorite competition. But after that, I didn't bother. If the Americans win anything they always announce it on the news. I feel bad got the athlete who caught COVID. Bet hey! Life happens. I'll get to watch a bazillion clips over and over.

It wasn't the last supper, but yes, it was controversial. The other things sound bad. I eat plant based, but they shouldn't be forcing anybody to change their diet, especially not elite athletes, when that could mess with their training regime.

Did you see the opening ceremony? I missed it but my brother-in-law did and said it was a shambles. I also know that people were moaning about Tom Cruise's closing 'stunt'. Again, I didn't see it but people were saying it was decidely underwhelming. I just thought, guys, give the man a break, he's in his 60s for Pete's sake

I cannot say much about "controversial" but yes, the above points do matter and IOC should look into these.

It's not over?? My kids were asking about why they keep seeing news about the Paris Olympics. Isn't it over? I was like" It's over for me! I was done after the running, swimming, and gymnastics. I didn't even watch the break dancing.
