Almost any mocktail would be considered a weird combo...

For example, a "Grape Ale" is grape juice mixed with ginger ale.

What's the difference between a 'cocktail' and a 'mocktail'---no alcohol in the 'mocktail' (I'd look it up and 'do my thing' with it, but I've got to eat right now  )

Yes, a mocktail is a non-alcoholic cocktail.

I am obsessed with mocktails.

The wordroot of "Cocktail" ... there are a few theories; one means "Egg-Cup (the type of cup where Antoine Amédée Pechaud would mix the drinks for his Masonic meetings in his apothecary in New Orleans),"

another means "Horse with a 'Docked Tail' (cut short, making it stand up like a Coc--Rooster's Comb (since this Tail-Style was given to Mixed Breeds (not Thoroughbreds), "Cocktails" came to be used on drinks that were Mixed Types).

(Since that second theory came from Diner's Dictionary, I think that's the one.)

Fried eggs and strawberry jam sounds like it might work. Huh. I'll try it some time.

This is not really weird. A lot of people eat omelettes or scrambled eggs with ketchup.

She said that many Chinese restaurants do and you would never know!
