Do you exercise during the weekend?

Postby iamshane487 » 01 Feb 2016, 12:06

Yesterday was a relaxing day for me. Throughout the day, I was just sleeping. I tried to begin my routine to workout, but I opted to decompress. Do you exercise during the weekend?

Sometimes, on saturday, but I prefer exercise during the week and leave the weekend for other things, like do the laundry, clean my house, make a cake and spend more time with my kids.

At least 1 hour every day, even Christmas. And my birthday.

Currently the answer's no. But I really want to get in to it, especially now that I've found out about an affordable 24 hour gym near me. I work funny shifts which can make it hard for me to go to the gym, but with this one, I'd be able to go at least twice a week, and then Saturday and Sunday. I don't want to do 7 days a week LOL

I find it interesting. There's always something to do. I consider it entertainment rather than a chore. It does depend on your goals and what you actually do there. :)

You are very determined, that's really good!

I used to jog every morning for a short period, then I became lazy. I'd like to keep the habit again. But I'll have to wait until my baby is born, I am pregnant now. I plan to go to the park for a walk every morning after the baby is born.

I exercise not every day, but want to. Thinks it's great and healthy.

Will looking after an active toddler counts as a form of exercise?

That is an ideal time to do some exercises, wherein I am free from the routine of the job I used to do. I usually do a brisk walking around the public plaza early in the morning. Upon arrival at home, I take several minutes to rest and then take the shower. I feel being refresh and relieve from stress.

I try to. Exercising is not difficult, maintaining the habit is.

It's a good goal, especially if you have a gym next to the house. I like to exercise outdoors, the gym environment makes me confused, do not even like. During the week I walk or run and do elliptical bike and located gymnastics (abdominal, weights ...) at home.

Remember, the following things are also exercise:

Not to mention playing in the park with your kids, going for a walk in the countryside.

It's not just about sets and reps, or spending an hour grinding it out on the dreadmill.

Weekends is the busiest time for me so my answer is no :). I traveled back to my hometown (2 hours away from the big city) every weekend. I am busy to do chores all day (plus eating). I think I get good exercises doing chores alone. My house is big, walking around it even tires out my legs.

I understand your reservations about going to the gym. To be honest, I also enjoy working out out in the open. My ideal thing would be walking, so if I knew where in my town we have some nice but also safe walking trails, I'd be there. The only places I know of are going trekking up 2 local hills, but I'd need to have a car to get there and I don't have wheels at the moment :( So I'm currently looking while I consider this local 24 hour gym.

Sort of. My main exercise right now is walking, and I do that whether it's a weekend or not. In fact, I'm probably more likely to get some walking in during a weekend than I am during a busy weekday.

Did 10 minutes of HIIT with kettlebell swings earlier. Forgot how tough they can be with a decentish weight.

In the gym where I go, they say five days a week is sufficient unless you are a fitness freak. I continue with it for a sixth day on saturday since I feel refreshed after each work out. But sunday is my day to laze off and strictly nothing except cooking and relaxing on that day.
