Come Halloween the pumpkins get all the imporitance We know of the appearance of jack-o-lanterns in most US households not to talk of the trick or treat game

But what is of concerns is the waste of pumpkins that lie unsold I was in the US a few years ago and I saw that scene

I was told they are finally dumped,.

Is there no way those pumpkins can be used?

You can turn them into pumpkin puree and you will strain the pulp with a mesh so the paste you will make will be smooth. And the pumpkin puree can be used for making bread, making cupcakes, making pumpkin soup, pumpkin pasta. All savory and sweet foods for dishes that uses pumpkin.

When I was holidaying in the US I noticed loads of pumpkins were dumped in the garbage bins.

Because Halloween Pumpkins are kinda hard and takes forever to cook, some zoos donates them to hippos
