About a few months ago, I had a couple of spells where I felt like I was going to pass out. I blamed these spells on not having packed a lunch and only bottled water. An acquaintance gave myself a diet Coke after a spell and I felt kind-of better.
These spells for some odd reason happen when I go to an appointment. Thank goodness they have a cooler filled with diet Coke and I now pack my own.
2 days ago, I saw my family physician. He told myself to use true lemon crystalized lemon crystals packets in unlimited quantity.
I hopefully can win. Sodium or No Sodium.
The fact that the spells happen when you go to an appointment might suggest a few things, but only your doctor can give you a proper diagnosis. It could be related to:
Anxiety or Stress: The stress of having an appointment could be a trigger for your body's stress response, which can cause lightheadedness.
Dehydration or Blood Sugar: As you initially suspected, not eating or drinking enough can definitely lead to feeling faint. Even with bottled water, your body might have been missing key electrolytes.
