I picked up my eyeglasses today. I am so upset. I cannot see with the eyeglasses. up close or far away. Right now? Why bother wearing.

I'd take a couple of days to see if it gets better when you get used to them. If it doesn't improve, go back because your prescription may not be right.

I am waiting for the eye doctor's office to call soon about an appointment opening.

Did eyeglasses increase your eye diopter, negative or positive? I hear from some people like it did.

The eye doctor's office has never called to reschedule and I am not bothering calling their office.

All of that insurance money down the drain.

I could get hurt too by wearing the darn things.

Today I actually properly tried them for the first time, it made me really sad because they did actually make everything clear... I don't want to have to wear them though!! It really sucks. I also have no idea how long I've been walking around half blind for. My vision was completely different when I put them on. Maybe I'll just wear them a little.

I never used to have any issues with my vision. But as we get older, some of us need to wear reading glasses, and that's where I am I feel like with each eye test, my sight gets worse. I wear plain Giorgio Armani ones that suit my face. But I think the next ones I buy will be no brand because my budget's a little too tight. As long as they do the job...!

What are numbered glasses?

Yes. I wear glasses for distance- I don't need them for reading or seeing things up close, but for say, seeing a TV or movie screen properly, reading street signs, recognising someone's face when they're maybe 10 meters away etc. They're plastic frames, and they are bright purple. I used to have smaller wire framed ones but big bright frames seem to be trendy now and they didn't have any like my old ones when I last went to get a new pair. I like them though.
