I am a firm believer in the Blessed Virgin Mary, too! Over the past couple of years,for example, I have tripped and fallen, even on our concrete driveway, and never got a scratch. I fell headfirst.

I do wonder though why bad things still happen.

I find that clean and empty plastic containers and jars to be lucky.

For example, yesterday, I was so hungry for orzo that I was consuming the pasta at 10:00 am in the morning. I had alot of leftovers. While searching for containers with lids for the freezer, maintenance stopped by! The guys worked hard. When the guys were finished, a free lunch compliments of the plastic containers with lids. The guys asked for a beer too. LOL I did not have any beer.

Then, yesterday, my neighbor texted that her boyfriend had bought too much cereal and wanted to get rid of the cereal. So... out came a plastic container and lid for orzo, a few oranges and off I went to meet her!

I am proud to say that bellies are full and no food is wasted.

I am now out of plastic containers with lids, except for 2 that are up so high that this 5 ft 1 inch gal needs to remember to ask my roommates's exptremely tall boyfriend to reach when he is here for lunch this upcoming Sunday. I am serving him lunch so he might want food to take home. LOL

diet Coke came to the rescue again!

I only keep a few cans of diet Coke in the fridge for just in case I get sick as I cannot afford to buy a bunch.

Guesss what?

Today, I had a weak spell. I drank some Pepto Bismol and a diet Coke.

Felt better!

Tomorrow I have an appointment and need to pack a lunch. Should I pack bottled water or diet Coke?

Should I pack lunch meat sandwiches?

It might be a good idea to pack bottled water to stay hydrated and balanced. And, lunch meat sandwiches can be a quick and easy option.

I packed diet Coke and am glad that I did. I was very tired and needed the energy.
