What do you think of the decision of many fastfoods to have a vegan menu

Postby Netherrealmer » 17 Nov 2019, 18:04

Burger King is known for their "Beef" patties (that is actually mixed with horsemeat) and they just added Impossible Burger on their Menu. Its a burger made of Soy,sunflowers and coconut oil. They said it tasted exactly like beef.

KFC recently launched Beyond chicken, Its Vegan chicken made of soy, amaranth, vinegar, salt and some chemicals I cannot pronounce and spell.

Wendy's Vegan option is their baked potato.

Why do think these business giants are adding Vegan options on their Menu....

I may rather eat Burger King's fake beef made of horse over the Vegan beef made of soy, sunflowers and weird chemicals.

They are probably adding it because there's a demand for same. One concern might be whether the vegan food is handled and prepared in a different section than where meat is being handled. Is it true what you said about Burger King's beef? :silent:

I can try vegan but never beef. Vegan is the new way the world is adopting and it's better for the society.

I think in India we have lot of Vegetarian dishes or menu , but we don't have vegan menus available very easily as some or other animal products are used in the dishes like butter, Ghee, Cheese, cream etc, in the restaurants on day to day basis while preparing Vegetarian dishes.

I even want all fast-food to have vegan menu, varieties is the spice of life, then someone just have the opportunity to choose whatever the person want at given time in any fast food joint.

I think it is pure trash and part of some illuminati plan.
I mean I know the impossible burger had human meat in it.
also bill gates owns the company that makes it.

Vegetarian is more affordable than Vegan, Vegan is a hard lifestyle to follow for someone very poor. I mean almond milk is super expensive.

I haven't seen any Vegan in India or know and this is why this type of fast food menu will not work or at least at present and may take many years to see people adopt this lifestyle.

The Vegetarian or vegan options are for certain communities or countries with different tastes and sensibilities.
McDonald's has a all-vegetarian option in one of its outlets in India.
KFC has many veggie options, as Beef eating is forbidden for many in India.
Wendy's has also started in India, but I have not been to its outlets. So I am not sure what it provides.

This is in contrast to England, where once I asked for a veggie option at a McD and they offered me fish based burger!!

Why is not one talking about how there might be human meat in the impossible burger?
people are trying to cover up the truth. Also Bill gates owns the company that makes those burgers
that is scary. I am scared guys. Let's talk about it.

I do not know what those burgers are made of. My niece and nephew eat them but I have not touched them yet and don't know if I will. You are so right Mystic

Why not? If they have demand and customers it can be good. In my area one restaurant offers gluten free pizza and some other types for athletes.

I actually really like the idea. More and more people are jumping on the vegan bandwagon and it's only fair that restaurants start to cater for them. I might even walk on the wild side and give these types of food items a try.

I think it adds value to the menu, more people are nowadays avoiding meat and this is a way to attract them to their restaurants.

I think that a vegan menu would be neat. I do not know the first thing about vegan cooking and this vegan menu might be a good way to introduce myself to such food.
