Re: Twitter vs Threads (Facebook's Twitter Clone)

I think by this time, we already know who the winner is. A lot of people who jumped into the wagon are already leaving Threads, where as with rebranding, Twitter is doing really great

Twitter is on a roll with its rebranding efforts. But I'm not willing to pay that monthly charge.

I have to say that I am so impressed with the ease Twitter has been able to rebrand itself and still stay relevant. Threads is just not performing well so far. I went there and it is almost looking like a desert.

I'm OK with the Twitter rebranding but I'm not OK with Musk getting involved in American politics. He seems to be trying to nudge his way in. We have enough headaches in US politics already.

I think Musk is a radical and Trump is also a radical and they find a common ground. But the suspension of Trump's account has been long enough.

UUmm?? I thought Musk did allow Trump back on Twitter but Trump decided to use his own platform called TruthSocial ( or something like that).

I bet Trump would be back on Twitter with time but I don't see him jumping on Threads.

I have not yet signed on Threads. I plan to apply this day but I am so worried about the info from members here that it does not accept members using a laptop. My PC was overheated.

You can use a mobile browser to access threads very well. That would be folly on their part not to allow access through mobile web.

Threads is no way to twitter aka X. Twitter is easy to use which isn't to threads. I even tried signing for an account on threads via PC and failed.

Twitter has decimated Threads so far but I believe Meta is resilient and would bounce back.

I'm just disappointed in Jack Dorsey. I really thought he was going to make a new social app that would give Twitter competition. But that didn't happen.

I wonder why he didn't do it. (???) It's not like he has to learn how to develop a system. He practically pioneered microblogging.

The level of activity on Threads has dropped by almost three quarters the figure that it was on that first week of launch as reported by a site called usatoday.
