Google Keyword Planner

Postby germainebull » 20 Mar 2017, 15:35

An online colleague claims that Google Keyword Planner is not only free, it is also a useful tool for performing keyword search for SEO purposes. This comes as a bit of surprise for me as I though keyword search business was long gone.
Are you using Google Keyword Planner?

I had used that for some time but in my opinion it's totally inefective. What do you think?

I have nothing to think of simply because I have not yet used this tool.
I am however grateful that you have shared your experience.

I went to use it, and it asked me to sign in with my gmail account. When I did, it said I signed up for adwords. I didn't want to do that. I just wanted to use the tool.

I think keyword tools can be useful. I just wouldn't rely on them completely. Also, don't stuff keywords. Google doesn't like that.

I'm glad I saw your comment, thisnthat. I was almost getting ahead of myself and thinking I had to check it out. But seeing as you've done the legwork, I think I'll pass. So thanks for saving me all the time and energy :)

It can be useful. There are other similar tools available as well (that you can try out without registering an account). I'd suggest having a look. They can provide you with good information. They can also give you ideas and help you utilize keywords more effectively.

I just wasn't too happy with signing up for something I didn't intend, and I don't think it's the be all, end all.

I login in with my email address, then it asked me to sign up for adwords but I refused, so I used the keyword planner with limited functions

Keywordtool.IO is another alternative to google keyword planner. There are also third party keyword tools which scrape from the google keyword planner. So depending on your option available you may want to take a look at those tools.

* * I did not know it was free. I think I have tried it but it was a while back. Sharing a link to a site that supplies reliable "how to" information. It's a guide on how to use this tool.

I have never used any keyword research tool except Google Keyword Planner. I use this tool because it is the best in the market, it is free and it is from Google, and gives the most accurate data.

While I no longer use Google's keyword planner, one thing I know is that keywords are still important to any business be a blog post. Yes, without a target keyword, it is like wasting time in whatever one does. Keywords play an import role when it comes to distinguishing A from B. Targeting A and getting results of B is bad and which is why properly used keywords are vital in every aspect.

It's my first time hearing about Google Keyword Planner. I don't know what it is for. Maybe I'll look into it.

I use Ubersuggest for finding keywords for my blog posts. There is no login requirement when using the site. Above all it is free.
