The best benefit that I get from saving money is the attitude to be frugal in spending especially for things that are not necessities.

I think saving money won't be easy if there are no new projects coming up. That's what I have noticed so far. It can be pretty difficult.

Agreed. I consider frugality as a rewarding habit. That said, I won't go to the extreme like those people in that Extreme Cheapskates show.

We should try to develop these habits in our kids, nephew, nieces because saving is a habit to have.

Saving habit is in DNA of Indian. Most of Indian like to save for future and emergency.

I don't think most Indian like to save and aware of many who don't like to save and even spend taking money on credit

Kids don't like to save. My parents tried hard on me but I never liked savings.

That is very bad thing to know....such people will end up with a bad after effects as spending more than the earnings is not at all a good thing for the family and for its future!

Where did you get this interesting info from mate? :D The fact is, the Indians are considered the most saving people in the world due to non-availability of governmental support/facilities and our social obligations which require a big spending. Here people need to spend lot of money starting from child birth, education, marriages and even when a person is no more (we do not have last ritual insurance cover like most development) countries).
