how do you do your work? how do you interpret it? how do you explain your work as not only paints on canvass to someone who have no clue about abstract art (like me)

Great questions. Glad you asked them.

I apply the paint using anything other than brushes. I'm taking a taoist approach, painting without painting, not being too controlling over how the patterns appear. You can see what I do in the videos. I have an idea of how the paint will appear but I can't control it to the millimetre.

Interpretation - I use colours to convey a feeling or mood, although sometimes I do try to create abstract versions of real objects eg mountains, coral, ferns. Contrast is really important otherwise it can look a bit bland. When looking at the work as an observer rather than a painter, it's partly to get a feel of the mood through the use of colours but also, it's about appreciating the fractal-like nature of the tendrils. You can try following the path of one slowly with your eyes as the colour changes. It can be quite meditative and relaxing.
