The way it works (in my imagination ) is: you register an account with them, follow the reasonable instructions they give you, and write thoughtful comments on all the videos that inspire you ... and the YouTube Admin will look down from their undisclosed location and grant you the wealth they believe you deserve ...

I don't know, but lately YouTube's been throwing up a 'WARNING: Changes you made may not be saved if close this window!' ... maybe they secretly transferred ownership to me, giving me "powers" I don't even know I'm using!

The word "Ownership" comes from a wordroot that means "to Have (see Owe)"---same root that gives us "Own, Owns, Owned, Owning, Disown, Owner, Owners, Unowned."

I don't think it is possible to earn on YouTube without a channel. I have never seen anyone achieve that feat.
