For some time I haven't been receiving notifications from some channels I subscribed to. When I went to check it out I also see that I'm not subscribed to them either. I did NOT unsubscribe from them so what happened? Can they (the creators) remove you from their list of subscribers? How does that work, does anybody know?

If the admin deletes his Channel and the account supporting it, won't that also unsubscribe all the subscribers?

Yeah but the channel being talked about is not deleted. So this is Shadow banning on Youtube's part. They did that to Pewdiepie.

How low can they go? I'm thinking you're very right about this. Yeah, the channel is very much there but I'm not subscribed. I'll just hit subscribe again and see if they come for me. 🙄

Yes, YouTube creators can unsubscribe users from their channel.

When a user subscribes to a YouTube channel, they are automatically added to the channel's subscriber list. However, YouTube creators have the ability to remove users from this list if they choose to do so.

This can happen if the creator decides to remove all their subscribers or if the subscriber has violated the YouTube's community guidelines or the creator's own rules.

This has happened to me also with a couple of channels that I have subscribed to and was getting notifications earlier. But the notifications stopped suddenly and it shows that I have not subscribed it.
Well, it might be due to shadow banning by YouTube. Shadow banning is one concern that many people have reported about YouTube and Twitter. I am not aware that the creator can ban the subscribers. They must be having this ability as many subscribers might become a troll and abusers.

I read somewhere that YouTube removes subscriptions that are suspected to be bots.
