Cold coffee

Postby Coinlv » 12 Aug 2015, 15:13

It's summer now! I love to have cold coffee these days. I want to have a new taste. Sick of drinking the same taste. I want something different now. Can anyone share his recipe with me here?

I still drink hot coffee during the summer, but iced coffee can be good too. :P If you're looking for a new taste I would suggest trying an iced latte!

I love iced coffee! What I usually do to make this cool drink:

2 shots espresso
2-3 tbsp condensed milk
1/2glass fresh milk
Ice cubes

Then mix them together. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less of the condensed milk. I usually mix the warm espresso shot with condensed milk so it mix quickly.

I love coffee, but struggle to drink it cold. It actually makes me slightly sick. I have yet to try some of the fancy ones that you get from the popular coffee houses for that reason. A friend recommended it, and I just can't bring myself to taste it. It's strange because I love regular tea, but also ice tea!

I prefer ice tea during summers, be it the peach tea or lemon tea. If it is cold coffee then i prefer it with ice cream. Any way my preference is for ice tea.

Even if it's super hot, for me, I can't drink cold coffee! I love a hot cup of coffee with milk if it's completly cold it doesn't taste good to me

I cold brew my coffee and then drink it iced -- very refreshing on a hot day and a nice change from iced tea!

Put 1 cup of ground coffee in a glass quart jar, fill the rest of the way with water (leaving 1 inch of headspace at the top), stir it like crazy or put the lid on and shake (to wet all of the grounds), and leave it on the counter for 12 hours. Line a strainer with a coffee filter, place it over a bowl or big measuring cup, strain the grounds from the liquid (it takes a bit of time and you'll probably want to change filters at least once). Pour filtered coffee into jar or pitcher and keep in the fridge for up to a month. This is concentrated; you'll want to do 1 part coffee to 3 parts water (hot or cold).

When I'm ready to drink it, I fill up my glass with ice, add 1 part coffee concentrate, 1 part milk, sweeten to taste, and 2-3 parts water (the ice does dilute it as it melts).

I don't know what to say because i for one don't take coffee, and i wouldn't even want to imagine having cold coffee because tea is hard enough as it is.
