I think there was a 90s show titled Sliders which the characters travels in different dimensions every episode like a World where nazis win world war 2, A World where women rules highest positions around the world,A world where dinosaurs didn't get extinct. Also Dr.Who. A British show that has been long running since the 1970s also tackles Multiverse.

Fringe is a fantastic show and probably has one of the best parallel universes, but they were not the first to do it. As mentioned above, Sliders and Dr. Who both have parallel universes. And while I have not watched it, The Twilight Zone should also have some episodes about parallel universes.

Oh and I'm watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer now and they also have a parallel universe, although they don't really focus on it. So yeah, Fringe might have one of the more popular parallel universes, but they were not the first ones to come up with the idea.

I used to watch this series in my sister's laptop because she downloaded episodes of it. Now I cannot watch it because the computer is not working anymore. I enjoyed watching it as far as I can remember. If it is in Netflix I will try to watch it again

This is still on somewhere? I remember it but is was I think more then 15 years ago on TV. I just remember Angel (now main actor in Bones or S.E.A.L) and Sarah Michell Gellar but I don't where is she now.
I didn't know they have paralel universe shows.

In Dr. Who I remember doctor mention dimension but did he ever meet his other personality or somebody from his live in different dimension?

The first time I saw a show about a parallel universe, it was a Star Trek episode. The original Star Trek series with Captain Kirk and Spock. Fringe doesn't get credit for the idea.

It's not currently airing on TV, but in the US, it's available on Hulu. You can also purchase the seasons on Amazon even though it was free on Amazon Prime until September.

I have been watching Buffy and Angel together and they're both great. I like BTVS more because of the plot and the characters and I can definitely see why they were a hit back in the days. They definitely deserved it because they had a lot of great arcs, a strong female protagonist, and one of the first onscreen gay/bisexual characters. I don't think they really focus on the parallel universes, but they definitely had a couple of episodes about it. The earliest one I remember is in season 3 which aired in 1998 (way before Fringe).

SMG is still active I think. I follow her on Instagram and she is still filming movies. I think she just had a movie released a few months ago.

Oh! If you watched the Deep Space Nine episode and had also seen the original Star Trek, you will picked up on a references they made to it in the DS9 episode. They were just continuing the parallel universe theme that had been started.

I remember in DS9 in paralel space Klingons are dominant species in Alpha quadrant and The Cardassians are like slaves on DS9. I don't remember Cardassians are mention with captian Kirk, I first time heard for them with Picard as captain of Enterprise.
