Top Buy Refurbished

Postby Spontaneo » 05 Jul 2022, 16:09

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure!

Buy refurbished!

For example, I buy my cellular phones refurbished and my laptops refurbished. I do not own a vehicle. So, they are my set of wheels!

A roommate always tells me to buy $400.00 to $500.00 versions. Why should I when $45.00 to $50.00 is just as good.

So, if you work online, I am just passing on a tip. You never know when you are going to really need that extra cash.

Thanks for sharing your helpful tip Spontaneo, do you buy from retail stores or do you buy refurbished goods from websites such as eBay?

Thanks for your reply Spontaneo. I generally buy new devices, so could definitely benefit from this tip. How have the refurbished laptops work out for you, did you have any issues with them?

Is there guarantee with a refurbished item? I don't find where to buy, there might be some selected shops.

I prefer buying new goods especially the electronic devices.
With newly purchased devices I can benefit from the two years warranty whereby the manufacturers take care of the products interns of repair and fixing incase they fail or cease operations.

I have had 2 bad experiences with refurbished. However, I have had bad luck with a brand new laptop bought from the store Best Buy. A computer tech took a look at my new laptop and said the laptop was junk. The year warranty was just over. So, I figure, if a new one breaks, so is a refurbished.

I don't prefer refurbished as there is no assurance if they will work or not. These cost less but these can be pain if they don't work

This is why I try to go for New and sometimes I go for a lesser brand but mostly its better to go for a good brand as they are durable with after-sales service and we can wait for few months to save money to buy branded stuffs

My Samsung mobile has given up, it is about 16 months, (it was brand new when I purchased), so now I am .... (you can imagine).
So how to make it Refurbished, or get a Refurbished mobile that might last longer.

Yugocean you could try contacting a refurbished store in your area or online, to see if they would be interested in buying the device from you.

16 months is not a long life for a mobile phone, have you tried going back to the retail outlet where you purchased it and asking them for a refund or to repair it?

I have made a good amount off a refurbished furniture. You can get a good refurbished one at the price lower than a new one but it will still serve you well.

Well, It was purchased online, not from outlet. A friend works at Samsung, I am trying to contact him.

A relative, who is a lawyer has forbidden me from selling my phone, there are few cases of misuse.

So I will check if my phone can be refurbished back to me, or I have to buy another without selling the one I have.

We buy refurbished car instead of new one. Save some money. However there are some disadvantages buying refurbish assets since they are used. Have to pay for maintenance. Here, we do not buy refurbish phones becausr the cheap ones cost around $50 to 80,, almost the same price as refurbish

Used car should only be purchased from a dealer, although dealers are clever, yet they will give atleast 6 months warrantee (free maintenance).

Car is one thing that I see many people prefer a used one and its best this way and you don't need to pay the amount after taking loan
