This is my fourth article, continuing to have fun learning new English words.
This time it's 5 English words that begin with “OF” and 5 English words that begin with “FO”.
Word, the definition and use it in a sentence.
■ 5 English words that begin with “OF”:Offa – King of Mercia (757 – 796 B.C.). His authority was recognized throughout England, south of the Humber, enabling him to claim the title “King of the English”
When questioned about the information sources relied upon to create the main character for his play titled “The King's Wife”, the playwright stated plainly that the wife of Offa was nothing more than a figment of his imagination.offal – all parts of an animal which are removed from the carcass when it is dressed for food (the entrails of a butchered animal)
(Offal sounds awful!)
