If you are an inventor, do not have a factory in China

Postby Netherrealmer » 07 Apr 2021, 13:05

They will never ever respect ever respect your patent. If you have patent for an invention you made, or your purchase the exclusive rights from an inventor... You are the sole person who have rights to own the patent of the product. If you own the patent, You are the only person who have right for it.

This is Sean Chen
Image

He is the inventor of Hoverboard and he is an American so his invention's patent is registered in the US, The Hoverboards he created are safe but expensive. He owns the patent. To mass produce his invention he decided to go to China, He is of Chinese descent so he thought dealing there will make things easier.

The moment he mass produced his invention, he made some cash but behind his back, His Chinese manufacturers never respected his patent and mass produced cheap poor quality imitations. These imitations caused a lot of explosions and injury causing accidents and Sean Chen got the blame. If you have an invention and you decided to mass produce it in China, there is a high chance your manufacturers will disrespect your patent.

I heard to avoid story like these, If you will have a factory in china, You must register your invention patent to Chinese government so only you will have the right to patent it right there.

If I am an inventor and I will mass produce my invention, I will either have factories in India,Philippines and Vietnam because they cannot manufacture fakes or maybe I will work with prisons and use prisoners as employees. In the US Private prisons uses the inmates as cheap labor.

I agree with you, we can find almost everything is chinese sites, even things that we thought had a solid patent like Pandora bracelet. It is possible to buy a silver Pandora with its name written on it 90% cheaper than the original one. I think lots of brands have already regretted trying to produce their products there.

It's so annoying when products are manufactured at a very low quality even with a solid patent of the product to be manufactured.

Well the low quality product is obviously a fake. China doesn't seem to respect the concept of Patent.

If I had invented something and I have nowhere to go for mass production then I would probably gamble with the Chinese factories.

Fakes can be produced anywhere, not just China. Thousands of people do it, but very few get caught. I don't really think it matters if your factory is in China. There are knock-offs produced in every country, even in the US.

China is best at copying. They do not have the knack for new inventions, all they can do is copy. If you don't believe me look at their car models.

US have patent laws. The videogame Sims have no imitation because they took their patent seriously. They sue anyone who makes a videogame similar to sims.

China do have the skills to copy almost every thing so well but you know the quality is not very good and it may work for years or may crash in a week or even soon

I guess it is part of the reason why people say that the Chinese are greedy ,and always want to see only themselves prosperous

Chinese have the culture of helping their countrymen. That is their business sense. Maybe that is the reason why they are progressive now.

It wouldn't be the first time that someone is sued in the US for copy an idea. I think China doesn't have that kind of laws.

Why are people so mean? Is it because it was not invented in china that's why the inventor had to go through what he went through. That was very wrong, anyway much has been asid about china and counterfeit goods so it's not a shocker for me, i think they are very self centred.

I am sure the Chinese know that the world is aware what they are up to but thrive all the same. They have the gift of the gab to get away.

I think this is a bit of stereotyping. China is still a good place to bud your investment. This is part of the American propaganda against China.

The victim is an American Chinese and the fakes got him deal with lawsuits. Its not a stereotype a Lot of inventors got imitations from Chinese manufacturers they trusted.

Chinese believe in mass production. And they would always produce inferior quality to flood the market and drive down the price. I know the Chinese government have taken serious measures to stop that trend and it would be a thing of the past.
