But of a truth a lot of wrong choices could be avoided if a person listened to wise counsel. Sometimes we make wrong choices and it's not because we think we are right. Sometimes we are being defiant and going against the grain in an effort to prove something. Prove it to who? Prove what? I don't know.
I am not so much talking about adults but kids and especially teens. In my humble opinion, they did not really need the experience of making the wrong choice in order to grow and become a better person.
For example, "Say NO to drugs." That's wise counsel. The kid nor the adult needs to make that wrong choice to experience it and become better. That is often a life choice they end up regretting. But honestly! There was no need for them to experience drugs, when all they had to do was say NO!!
