Fat acceptance groups are angry to Adele

Postby Netherrealmer » 31 May 2020, 15:36

When Adele debut as a singer, I remember she made a statement she wanted to be known for her talent and not for her body and beauty. She said she can sell records without looking like a Barbie doll which is true. She is a very successful singer for her talent alone.

Well these "Body positivity" groups Are now very angry to Adele because she now looks like this:
Image

Adele hired a weight trainer and changed her diet not because for beauty reasons, When gave birth to her son, She realized she wanted to be part of his life for a long time. So she decided to be healthy so she can watch her son to become a grown man. She changed her lifestyle not to look like a Barbie, she wants to live long to see her boy become a man. If she remained obese she will die early and not get to see her son grow. She did it for her son.

Well Fat acceptance groups online are now calling Adele "traitor" and "anorexic"

Here are some tweets from Fat acceptance people! Get ready for the cringe

Yup these "body positive" people are accusing her of being bad influence to little girls because losing weight is telling girls they are not good enough. Thats their reasoning.

They should be happy for Adele for losing weight because all she wanted is to be healthy for her son.

Now Adele should be their motive to do same and not reason to stay angry.

I think they are angry because they use to see her as a role model for big ladies and she is not big anymore. Imagine how they will react if Meghan Trainor and Lizzo got skinny.

I think most of them just talk about losing weight but actually don't want to lose. If they do they don't have reason for blaming everything around them.

I think Adele decided what is the best for her, no one has nothing to do with her choices. In my opinion she did well, what do those people want?! A fat Adele? But she doesn't want to be fat now, it is her choice and people must respect it.

You taught me something again. I didn't know about the body positivity movement until now. Was Adele a part of it or did people just assign her there? Obviously she is capable of making her own decisions concerning what she should look like. If she's happy with it then so am I.

I think Adele is not really a part of "Body positivity movement" but they use to put her on the pedestal. She was one of their Patron Saints. They also did the Same with Susan Boyle who actually tried to lose weight because of health problems.

I don't know but Body Positivity movement seemed to shame skinny women, Look how "All about that Bass" calls skinny women as B words.

They did the same thing to another famous person. I don't remember the name but apparently they thought her looks (then) was supposed to represent what they stood for. When she decided to change it up, she got cursed out from all angles.

I have never listened to the Bass song but one of my neighbours was raving about it to me. I wonder if he knows what it says. Maybe I'll tell him. I still didn't listen to it now but I have no doubts that's what you heard.

Eh, what's that got to do with them?!  I do believe she looked prettier before because when some people lose the fat in their face, they look gaunt - exactly how I think she looks. But she's still pretty. However, I commend her for having dropped all that weight. She's obviously healthier now and I can only hope she can maintain it. Whatever makes her happy...!

No matter what anybody says, it' not healthy to be fat, obese or overweight. And it's not healthy to be undernourished and emaciated either. We're not talking about a "beauty standard" and shaming or embarrassing people. We're just talking about maintaining your health. Don't try to tell me you enjoy carrying around an extra 100+ pounds. I'm not a dietician or nutritionist or health professional. Can you run? Can you even walk without being out of breath? Your body is telling you something. Your heart is telling you something. LISTEN!

FACT! Adele looks fabulous!

I totally agree with you. Your health should be your priority and then your beauty can follow. I see people following very strict diets which can even make them to be malnourished. Something I have learnt is that there is nothing like dieting, you just eat what is right for your body like fruits and vegetables and avoid things that they may harm your health.

What's wrong with adele trabsformed into a new lady like what she is now? Maybe those people bashing Adele can't accept the fact that someone who weighed too much before already lose her weight. Maybe they can't accept because they don't have the courage and discipline like what Adel's have.
