Happy Canada Day to any fellow Canadians on the Forum. July 1st
Every July 1st we celebrate Canada Day in Canada. Some people call it Canada's birthday as well. It is a federal statutory holiday and most places are closed on those days. Today we just have small stores open, gas stations and fast food. As far as I know anyone who works today gets time and a half on their pay which is good for low income jobs.
Our town ussually has something called "Firemen's Fielday" its activities the whole family can enjoy and a BBQ. And tonight there will be fireworks. Thankfully I can see them from our balcony so I won't have to drive downtown to find a place to park.
