Business involves risk. If you are in a partnership form of business it's fine otherwise it will be riskier.

I have read many stories where successful entrepreneurs have started a little business and in years scaled it up.Having an experienced partner is recommended in a business.

We have a family friend who opted to put up a business in exchange for his managerial position in a big bank. After a year of operation, the business closed shop and he was left with no employment.

I think jobs are lot easier to work with if you want consistent income. But business can be lot better for longer term investment if you know how the investment works out.

As far as I'm concerned, any venture I start that pays me more than what my previous job paid me would be great. I'm not looking to build a huge empire that turns over millions.

The future of what you venture into is also very important because some earnings don't last long from some business.
