I have heard of a proxy? I've googled it, still don't understand. I have seen around the forum that it be used to fake what country you're in, and many websites blacklist them, I have heard that they are illegal too, but I don't know for sure. I don't plan to use one, especially since I don't know it's legal status, but what is it?

I don't know the actual definition of proxy but I will explain you on my way.. Proxy is like an IP Addres that you can change in order websites too recognize that you are from another country.Ofcourse using proxy is not recommended because you might get caught...but however that depends mostly on the website.

proxy is an ip for a computer with aport, so you can navigate any website you want using the ip of that computer and without using yours

i think its right, there are so many softwares,and websites offering this services, i know like hidemyass.com, cyberghost etc....some times it works...but sometimes i dont know

No Proxies aren't illegal only if you do something illegal with them, like downloading music or movies

I too have heard about this Proxy but I have not understand, and I have not used it but some body recommend to use proxy for some sites those are not allowing your country to register. But I have not tried to use proxy till now.

proxy is an ip for every computer, and every country different IP/Proxy.

Also you can get Proxy from other country and whoever checks ur ip address it'll show him that country! I use this sometimes for some websites that doesn't support my country, but be careful, some websites have script/plugin that recognizes proxies.

actually yes it's illegal for both who sell proxies and who use them, because using a proxy is hiding your real identity and where are you from, for exemple a website needs a signup from usa and you are from another country, using usa proxy is a fraud !

Hmm..If you are owner of a website,would you like someone to use a proxy and to make/register more than one account? [ If you have PTC or PTP website].

According to me using a proxy is illegal because most of the websites don't allow that.

well you can say that, it have some connection with some servers where you'll not use your ip but u'll use the server's ip
