Kenneth Copeland Ministries has five tips in their "PRAY-VOTE-PRAY" 'flier' (little bookmark-thing they include with their monthly mail to Ministry Partners): - Watch (the BVOV-Broadcast discussing FAITH IN OUR NATION)
- Study (the guide they suggest)
- Pray (the way they tell you to)
- Use (their voting guide)
- Vote (based on "biblical values")
I'm obviously not watching BVOV's Broadcast nor studying
their research (although I know that they faithfully 'reference official records' and don't 'imagine the way
they think things ought to be') on the parties & candidates; and I pray & vote (a few weeks ago), but--as I implied above--probably not the way they suggest.
The reason I'm not
Watching is a principle Lord Jesus tells us about ... or maybe He just
hints at it when He tells His disciples, "You can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done," and again when He says, "if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven."
The principle is a fact about the subconscious mind---it believes everything it sees & hears (& feels & tastes & smells & otherwise senses)---even if it's the most obvious photo-trick or special-effect, you have to consciously remind yourself of the truth it contradicts.
That's the reason why people believe that President Donald Trump is 'all those bad things people say he is.' Maybe he isn't, but most people's conscious-minds aren't 'swooping in to disagree!' (That's one reason he suggests "lawsuits for
slander": because most people's minds aren't 'constantly weighing-out the possibility that they're hearing or seeing a lie' ... and the first '
slander'-lawsuit will be
against Donald J. Trump! for declaring that The Media is 'the enemy of the people.'
That's also why I'm not anxious to use KCM's (& Eagle Mountain Church's) America Stands resources ... but that's more because
the resource I used to find out what vote I should give is more American & less 'Churchy.'I
do Pray & I
did Vote (absentee-ballot) but ...
I
Pray more 'the way Mother Teresa suggested' ("I don't say anything, I just listen ... and God just listens.") and not the "Oh imaginary daddy-in-the-sky, please send down angels to move my body to vote the way you'll never say out loud you want me to vote, 'pretty-please with sugar on top?' (which is what most people really mean when they say 'in Jesus name, Amen')"
And 'Vote based on
Biblical Principles'? What are Biblical Principles? 'That God is King and Jesus is Lord; so it doesn't matter who you vote-for?'
