The best way to learn skill is by trying it. For instance, I did not know about website building. However when I launched my own blog I learned how to customize a wordpress site.

Mostly trial and error. I acquired my first computer in the early 1990s - it was so basic it didn't even have a hard drive, everything had to be booted from big floppy discs, and it ran on DOS commands, not a windows system. It was good for learning the basics. My first windows computer came in 1995, and around 1998 I built my first web site using MS Publisher. It worked, but I later learned that Publisher throws in a lot of unnecessary code, so I bought a book on HTML and did some online tutorials on javascript and CSS, and started building sites from scratch. Then I discovered the Wordpress platform and a program called Artisteer which allows me to design my own themes, and changed all my sites to self-hosted WP. Now, if I want to do anything in HTML that is beyond the basics, I have to go back to the book to look it up.

One thing I know and believe in myself is being a Quick learner. Learning quick has helped me acquire lots of skills and which have helped me turn into what I am today. Oh please don't ask me what I am sorry! Through comprehensive reading, following what others share and trying things out myself whilst avoiding the 'It has failed' has helped me acquire more than skills.

Taking my Driving skills as an Example, this is something you won't believe. I never went to any driving school and nor attended any driving lessons. I woke up one day and chose to drive. I got keys, jumped onto the drivers seat and off I started. It took me only a few days to master the road and that is how I became a skilled driver. Now many people even hire me to drive them longer journies in addition to become a Sports escort. This helped me acquire the different classes of vehicles in my license and at my age, many wonder what kind of Driver I am and how I made it.

The same story puzzles many in the world of Blogging. Started self styles on Blogger blogs and now owning one of the Multi category giant site online. Through hard work, determination, commitment and never accepting defeat has made me acquire all the skills I have.

Youtube is very useful in whatever category you want to learn, plus it is free, almost all can be found there.

Depend on what skill it is. I love writing poetry and that skill I think comes as my twin. It is my gift and curse as well.

Well, I have learned my freelancing skills by enrolling in a freelancing course and taking several free courses online. I have paid PHP 2500 for the freelancing course which covered several areas like data entry, transcription and search engine optimization to name some. I have even received a gold certificate for doing an exemplary performance during the coaching/training process.
