Depends on the task, for lots of menial tasks I think attitude and aptitude are worth far more than experience.

It depends on the kind of work and business, I don't care if they are experienced or not as long as they do the task properly and follow the rules and regulations.

I am thinking to build an online store. Since I do not have any skills with programing, I will have to hire a programmer to build an online store for me.

I think it depends on their qualification. Educational attainment and experience will be considered.

Their past experience, how they interact with the community and of course how well you know them. I try to only hire staff for my sites that I know myself from sites that I frequently spend time on.

It depends on what kind of business you may have to form or organize. Basically, it's the skill and the attitude that really count. And the willingness to undergo a series of training.

Attitude is very important. There's no point hiring someone that has the skills and know-how but is too lazy to actually do anything for you.

Skill and knowledge would be the preference. Experience would be an added quality. But experience comes wit it's own cons like high pay rate.

I base my choice on the candidates actual performance on the job. How do I measure that? Maybe I will have the candidate undergo a practical exam and see how he performs in real life situations because anyone can ace an interview especially now that you can google all the questions and possible answers to these interview questions. I would not base my decision on my impression on the candidate alone. Usually applicants put their best foot forward during the interview when in fact in real life they only perform 60 percent of that.

Someone that is willing to learn and is responsible, Experience not always mean that one knows what is responsible and that to me is very important, I've seen so many with skills doing nothing and others taking so much effort to do their work well.
