I don't think if it violates the copyright law to repost your queries from other site here in myLot. It is reposted in toto, word for word, in verbatim.

I have come across other sites that warn their users of reposting their posts or articles coming from other sites. Though the writer or the author himself is reposting his article. Nevertheless, it is still a violation.

On the other hand, I receive from a reliable source that reposting any queries or concerns as long as they are not in the form of an article is not a problem. What can you say about this?

I wouldn't think it would violate any laws to start the same conversation on different forums since it isn't the same as an article or a blog post. There are different people on different forums so you want to get a larger variety of answers to your query. Of course, it might be good to rephrase the question or topic that you are starting and to make sure you aren't breaking the rules of the forums.

Different sites have different rules for this and everyone thinks what they are doing is correct.

Are we talking about posting our own articles or posts on different sites? I didn't think that was a violation, it's only plagiarism if you post content that other people have written I thought. However if a site states that you shouldn't do it I guess you should abide by their rules.

Like others have said, I think the important thing is to observe the stipulated site rules. Having said that, I don't see why discussing concerns you've aired elsewhere would be a problem. I would, however, find it strange if someone simply kept copying and pasting those concerns. It's easier to simply re-tell your story, surely?! I mean, who has the time to go back and scour their past post and keep doing that? It's just weird.

Copying posts/articles would be a no-no. If you're talking about re-posting a support ticket or something, that's a good question. I think your end of the conversation would be okay, but I don't think we're really supposed to post other people's correspondence without their permission.
