* * I would not place my affiliate links at the site until or unless the owners gave the GO signal. The eMail said everything will operate the same as it ever was, with the exception, no more pay for views. They say they're working on something (?). If they want to survive, they'll work on something that will benefit management and members. Let's face it. That site only exists because of the members' contributions. If all the members exercised their option to download their content, that site would be like a country without citizens, which is not a country at all. They must be working on a way to stay afloat or planning to close shop, but they don't want to make the announcement right at the moment. They say they're working on a plan of action. I'll take their word for it.

I see. I am hoping to do some good with those links. but as you say have to wait.

* * Was looking for a thread about Niume. This one seems to be the most recent so I'll ask the question here. Got an eMail from Niume about cha-cha-cha-changes. But I don't see where the improvements are all that awesome.

Anybody else get the eMail? Something about "Guest Posts". :?
What am I not understanding about the changes being made at Niume?

Can anybody shed some light on this?

LOL I was thinking the same thing. I got the email and was hoping that they had reestablished the earning potential there but that doesn't seem to be the case. As far as I can understand it is just the guest posting and adding images to the top of your page or something. Not real clear on it at all. Hopefully, someone will have a better grasp of what they were meaning. I don't think it is much as far as a real dramatic change though.

That is part of life, it is expected, you either continue to post for the passion you have for the site or you stop and seek for alternatives.

* * They may be making changes but quite frankly I don't see where their system needs that much improvement. The only major changes were discontinuing the revenue system and removing the donation buttons.

The publishing platform itself is really quite nice and the fact that the owners sometimes tweet your posts is an added extra.

I am still going to use Niume for republishing my content. I pop in about once a month.
My latest post is Write Your Own Fortune . It's a 3 year old post with evergreen content that I republished from my main blog. Since the site is respected by search engines, I think their good reputation is "worth some money". Niume gets way more traffic than my blogs do. If people get to my Niume posts first and from there visit my main websites and blogs, that will be great as those sites are monetized. That's what I'm aiming for anyway. That's my strategic game plan. Hope the plan comes to fruition. :$:

I received an email from Niume recently. However, I disregarded it. I am not enticed there anymore.

swalia wrote:I have already deleted my accounts both from niume and literacybase. We had hoped that blogjob would make a comeback but it never did. I don't have any hopes for these sites either.

(A) Keeping my Niume account. Not worried because most of my posts are republished content, so it's not like I did any extra work.

(B) Didn't realize LiteracyBase was going to shut down before I could request an account deletion. I was trying to wait and give them the benefit of the doubt. One day I woke up and they were gone! I have backup copies of my posts. Need to find them a new home. Might use Niume. Already published some at Medium. That site also accepts republished content.

(C) BlogJob's points system never came back and I'm almost certain it never will. Why should they? The bloggers who wanted to stay stayed and the ones who were only there for the points left. That's probably the result the owners were hoping for. (Just guessing.) I kept my blog there and even started a new one after the points rewards were discontinued. I noticed my friend had several blogs there and she was using her affiliate links. I decided I might as well try and see if that works.

So I am publishing an affiliate marketing blog via BlogJob.
My Shopping Channel
"Nothing beats a failure but a try."

Unfortunately, I have joined other sites like ForumCoin, Postloop and MyLot, and don't have much time to spend on the new blog. But I promised myself I would get back to it before the end of September. I don't want to miss out on this year's holiday shopping season. Hoping I earn some commissions this year! :$: :$:

LOL. OK! You got me! When I used the word "unfortunately" I meant it was unfortunate for my shopping blog because ForumCoin and the other sites are so rewarding it's hard to tear myself away from them and work on that particular blog.
 :D Hope that clarifies. At least you quoted me correctly.

So, to be very annoying, how a person can use Niume to earn?
Can you give me an example?

As far as I can tell one can't earn at Niume right now. A few months ago they suggested there may be ways in the future but none of the changes I've seen so far are delivering on that suggestion.

I will get back to writing there at Blogjob too as I am registering at Lazada Affiliate Marketing. I will try every opportunity I could learn online and see the earnings progress in the future. What I will do is to try to earn but not to anticipate earnings that fast.

Niume used to be a good website but slowly and steadily they have declined everything and that's why there are very less members and with this move the ones that were sticking will left as well.

Income may result INDIRECTLY. Even though the revenue system has been discontinued, you can still supply links to your monetized blogs or websites. If people click from your Niume links and visit your monetized sites, when they get there, they may saunter around visiting your posts or other content and might click on an affiliate link or an advertisement.

That's my example Take it or leave it! You done annoyed me!

Niume is closing!
https://niume.com/post/360287

It seems that "black cloud" followed me to this site and now this site is closing its doors. Incredible! I get talked into joining and I'm not even there for a year and the site shuts down. I'm losing count as to how many times this has happened to me. No doubt you people all have similar stories.

Bye bye Niume. :eh:

If you do recall, I did mention a while back that the owners had put the domain up for sale. That to me is always an indication of them wishing to move on, or to sell as a going concern. The owners are entrepreneurs who build up companies and sell them on, or use the success as leverage to get funding for their next project.

To me it was only a matter of time before it closed down. It's quite apparent blogging on a mass scale unless it is your own no longer pays based on views, clicks or ads.

It's not like it wasn't an established site with a good online reputation. Putting a domain up for sale is not the same as closing it down. Had hoped the new owners would buy the domain and the new owners would simply pick up where the old owners had left off. It could have happened that way. But it didn't.
