Entertainment : Watching Mystery TV Series

Postby cmoneyspinner » 04 May 2017, 21:09

When it comes to murder mystery TV, I am a total addict. My husband got me addicted to British TV mystery shows. Then my son subscribed to Netflix and I was able to expand my viewing pleasure. Not only does this video streaming service have BBC series but it also has Canadian and Australian TV series and now that it's available, I've started watching an Indian mystery series call "Dariba Diaries", set in 19th century Delhi. This is a new adventure! I've never seen an Indian mystery series. I'm enjoying it!

♥ What about you? Do you enjoy watching mystery TV series?

P.S.
:?: But can somebody explain one thing to me.
What is that sort of bracelet that Mirza wears on his arm that he's always adjusting?

I like the very old fashioned British murder mystery dramas. The real 'Who dunnit' type shows like Columbo and Midsomer Murders. I think most people would find them totally boring but for some reason I find them comforting .. I think it's because it takes me back to my younger days when I watched them at home with my parents.

Yes I do! In fact, more than mystery tv series I like almost all series, movies and documentaries... However, nowadays I don't have time to see all that I want, but when I have some spare time I prepare the series that I want to assist. In fact I have a list that I want to watch... a big list ;)

I love murder mysteries. Books and TV both. I used to watch Columbo with my parents when I was younger. I love watching Agatha Christie's Poirot and Miss Marple. Midsomer Murders is one of my favorite. There was one I watched on Netflix that was called Rosemary & Thyme that was a really good series. I am always looking for new ones to watch.

I used to enjoy watching tv, loved mistery series and shows like The Shannara Chroniches, Game of Thrones, Blindspot and Quantico. I stopped watching tv last year, I don't feel like doing so anymore. I can not explain why it is a weird feeling.

I remember watching that kind of documentaries, the mystery ones. I love those kinds. I also love CSI and NCIS before. Mystery series will make our brain work because we need to think who are the real killers or murderers.

* * That is weird. Hope you get your Mo Jo back! :D

Started watching the Pinkerton series yesterday. Late at night when I'm winding down, I may watch TV or Netflix. Sunday afternoon when I'm chilling out and want to do something "mindless" I turn on the TV.

@cmoneyspinner...I really like how you and your husband like to push the envelope with your entertainment. I mean, let's face, your country is where it's really at, and what the world aspires to emulate across almost all facets of life, including music, TV and movies. Kudos to you two for wanting to experience what's beyond your shores!

Netflix has a decent selection of mystery programming from all over. Some of the better mysteries move slowly. The characters develop and the stories unfold at a far more relaxed pace than a lot of the typical American television shows. The scenery and surroundings are usually a big part of the program as well. I enjoy them.

I forgot about one that I watch on Netflix which is Australian called Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and it is set in the 1920's. I like watching shows from other countries as it gives you something different than what you are used to and gives a new perspective on the other cultures of the world.

Got tired of waiting. Figured Netflix wasn't going to add any more episodes of the "Dariba Diaries".

Watched "Cheo Yong". It's a South Korean TV series. It was over in 2 seasons. The detective was able to solve cases because he had a ghost for his partner. It was cute!

Now I'm watching "Agent Raghav – Crime Branch". The episodes are very G-rated.

I am from India. We have a very good Mystery TV serial based on the facts, where the police is shown solving the mystery murder! The name of the serial is 'Crime Patrol' . There is another serial known as 'Savdhan India' that means India be Alert! I love to watch these serials if I have time like most of the Indians.
