Where's the camera?

Postby germainebull » 21 Dec 2016, 04:20

In certain movies and adverts, I see clips of the undersides of moving automobiles. I can't determine where a video camera is located so as to shoot such clips. Can someone please enlighten me?

I didn't know either but found this article which tells you several ways that a camera can be used to film in a car.

This is a hard one to crack. You probably need a pro or someone who does photography to answer this one. But there is someone i This site who does photography if am not wrong, they probably haven't seen your post.

I see. Thanks for your response.

This however brings me to a new challenge; I've come across the term 'Go Pro' at several places online. I however do not know what this is. Anyone willing to enlighten me?

I guess it should be done through couple of cameras fixed at the underside of floor of the automobile at different angles.

Go Pro is a brand of action video camera. It's a tiny camera with a very wide angle of vision. People strap them onto themselves, their bicycles, surfboards etc while engaging in sports and other physical activities. I've even seen videos in which they've been strapped onto dogs.

Thanks for your enlightening post.
I guess I'll now look further into this Go Pro thing from an informed standpoint, of course.

Doe these GoPro cameras have a sizable storage capacity? How do I transfer photos from such camera to, say, my laptop?

You can use a 128 Gb memory SD card and have more than one on hand, so it's virtually unlimited.
