@Lexi oh, you are talking about spammers on the site. Anyway, we can delete or unapprove them.

Anyway, few days ago, I checked his profile and he was online two weeks ago.

I was not writing comments or participating in forums nor I requested many friendship but I only accepted the requests but if the admin felt that these activities were for gaming the system he had the option of opting out for points for all these non productive activities and I am sure no one would have missed those points. I know some people amassed points by liking and joining the groups only but doing absolutely nothing else.

Yes. This would be a straightforward approach to addressing the uncertainty surrounding BJ. It is however easier said than done.

People have tried it and mentioned it on different forums that admin did not respond to anyone including moderator of that site in this reference.

I feel people have a right to express what they feel and it's not speculation, but what people think.

People have opinions and are allowed to express them and aggressive one liner statements really just show that some people don't have any opinion. I'm sure Sheridan will say something when he is ready, but I noticed more people interacting recently, so he will have support.

BlogJob has some types of glitches as sometimes it won't allow me to post update or comment; saying that I have used an unacceptable word.

It is interesting that Sheridan won't respond to his own chosen moderator! The thing is, he can easily said something or anything at all to let people know whether or not the site will come back, with points earning system or not earnings! A clear statement is needed!

Only Sheridan can answer that but one thing is for sure, whenever blogjob comes back, there are many loyal users waiting.

I have to say, I've also noticed that there's some activity on BlogJob. Each time I log in to say a quick hi and check for the latest developments, I see people interacting. So if it did miraculously return, Sheridan would not be short of members.

Perhaps the owner is waiting for revenue streams to get stable, and also to ensure all the spammers have been blocked? I know that it took a while to block all of mine, and also on the forum I am moderating. It's a pain to catch all the IP addresses used, but once they are all blocked a new one sometimes crops up.

Lexi wrote:The domain is registered until 2020 so the owner does have intentions for it regardless. Perhaps he is waiting to get revenues up, and also to see which members have jumped ship and then hopefully weed out the ones that have been scamming the site. I say that loosely as some people never posted blogs, but tried to make money commenting, adding friends, and joining groups only.

I also read that some posted lots of blogs per day, but did not share them, so the posts might not generate much traffics, but the owner had paid these members a lot of money. Perhaps the owner needs to think of some ways that will be good for both sides (owner & members).

Sheridan won't be short of members as he was sincere and honest in his approach. He paid all the members. Nobody can accuse Sheridan of being unfair.

No one maybe able to correctly say the future of Blogjob. We are trying to make guesses here. The one person that may know better is the owner of the site.

One thing is for sure, all are just waiting out there and if the site will come back, everyone will surely come back despite the changes it would bring. I hope it is soon. I am always waiting for it. I love that site so much!

I agree with you about a needed statement from the owners! It has been months and he still remains invisible despite the fact that there are lots of activities on the site lately.

I noticed the moderator of BJ stayed quiet these past two months too, and stopped harassing people to post, share, and keep the site going. He checked in sometimes, but didn't write new posts or promoting traffic to BJ lately.

Based on my observation, most of of the inactive or died sites never come back. I think the founder rather to start a new one instead of save the old one.

If the founder started a new site he will have to invest a lot and also lose his page rank. I think with the kind of reputation BJ enjoys it would be a matter of days when everything will be back on track.

I agree! Unlike other writing sites which stopped paying, blogjob still has a good reputation and Sheridan is held in high esteem by the members. If he decides to bring back the site, he will be supported whole-heartedly.

Not everyone will come back. I definitely get the impression that some people have moved on.

I've still left some of my content at BlogJob - those blogs I didn't post to regularly. When it came to my main blog however, I didn't feel it was worth the risk of publishing more posts there when I was uncertain how much longer the site would remain online. As I wanted to continue my blog, I moved my content to Blogger, replacing each post with a link to where the full post can now be found. If BlogJob ever reinstates the reward system, however, I'll be forced to delete the remains of those posts which will put my account into negative points. For that reason it would be very difficult for me to continue writing there.

I really enjoyed my time at BlogJob and still log in daily to see what activity is taking place. But I'm not optimistic that it will ever be the site it once was.
