chikitta wrote:Clixsense what is it all about again @oldbuddy is it where you watch videos to earn? Or how does it work
spiderdust wrote:First off, I have not yet watched the videos (I have other videos and Radio Loyalty playing in other tabs to earn for other sites, so it's not possible at the moment), so I apologize if I ask about something that you've already covered.
i use a Chromebook to get online, which means that I can't download many of the things that are often recommended to get around the spyware issue. Chromebooks have browser based operating systems; everything is in the cloud and there's not really a hard drive. On the other hand, that also automatically protects me from a few spy/malware applications out there, but I'm not naive enough to think that i'm fully protected.
However, I notice that you're running Linux. We have several old desktop computers here that ran Windows XP or earlier (NT, ME, etc.). While i don't know how to install Linux, I live with people who do. I would still have to use a browser like FireFox or Chrome; would that still be enough protection?
morgoodie wrote:Great info @oldbuddy. You can use the thumb drive like you do on any laptop? Even if it is one that you use all the time? I don't know a lot about technical things like that. I've never used a thumb drive before either. Lol. I think ClixSense is great and I make a nice amount from them each month. I don't have referrals there yet either so I imagine if I did then I would make even more money.
morgoodie wrote:@oldbuddy Thanks for clearing that up. The laptop I work on is about 3 years old but I have Windows 10 installed on it. I will have to get a thumb drive first before I can even think about doing that. I use this computer for everything. I would love to be able to get another laptop and use one for online work and the other for personal things. Although I do have a desktop but the kids mostly use that.
I also thought that those comments could have been avoided had the videos been watched since it told everything on them.
morgoodie wrote:This may be a stupid question but don't you need a hard drive in it for it to work? I know nothing about computers so I don't know anything about hard drives. Sorry about all the questions but if I can go that route then I would like to do it the cheaper way since I don't have a job right now. I forgot I do have an ancient laptop that I am pretty sure works if I charge it (maybe) so I wonder if that would work. Of course, it is really old.
morgoodie wrote:@oldbuddy Thank you for the information. Now that you mention it I am not sure if it has the USB ports. I will have to dig it out and check. I can't remember exactly how old the laptop is.
morgoodie wrote:@oldbuddy Okay thanks for all your help I appreciate it. I will check it out one of these days when I have some free time. I am trying to move and don't have a lot of spare time right now.
