I too have been looking for such sites for a long time now, but most of them ask for a registration fee upfront and those invariably, are scam sites. So I have given up on them and have stopped looking for such sites.

Are you kidding?! I wonder if someone join such site and go for it. 1 cent for 1000 captcha is almost nothing. I surely would not work for anything like this.

Indeed it is how it is. Besides being tedious and the fact that you have to be super fast there are always those captchas tat you can't make head or tail out of them.

Data entry is one job that I won't touch from a barge pole. They will ask you to pay for registration and once you pay and finish the job never pay you on one or the other excuse.

Interesting.
So, what is this captcha code thing?
What skills does it need?

No skills is required for you just type what the picture show on you. If the picture show 0998, then you just type it as like that and submit. Very easy but very very low rate. You can be active one day, but you will never come back on the next day after the experience. But I am not speaking in general, as maybe not all sites are like this.

I entered captcha codes on Irazoo; which is a GPT earning site. It was a temporary offer and it didn't pay very well.

The only time I've been paid well to do data entry was when I left home to work at the Internal Revenue Service Center when I was younger. I've never seen any data entry positions where I could work from home.

Maybe you could check into medical transcription that could be done at home.

Well, it takes time to stand out from the freelancing crowd, doesn't it? I guess it's just a matter of being patient enough to land your first project and get started from there. You don't have much to lose, right? You can maximize your free bids and wait whether you get the project or not. And then wait for your free bids to get refreshed if you don't.

Mmmm...
I heard that one ...lancer site is a scam.
This site allows users to perform online tasks, only to cancel such tasks after deducting its due commission.
In that case, a tasker incurs a net loss.
I can't remember the name of the particular site.
Can someone help please.

I have never heard of this site before but if you say the site is like Microworkers then I must check it and try some of the available tasks and see how they work for me. I am sure it will prove another site worth my time.

I second you; most legit sites do not ask for registration fees.
If you come across such sites, employ caution.
It's advisable to seek for honest reviews from your friends and your online contacts.

grecy0905 wrote:Be careful as some are looking for Data Entry, but in the description it tells about transcription that you will edit the grammar before submitting it. If you are not into editing and have an average grammar then it will feel tedious to you. I found some at Truelancer. Some of the data entry sites available online are giving 0.01 for 1000 captcha codes, so tedious again.

I have never worked with a Data Entry site, but for your description it seems to be very hard and tedious to earn with those. don't know if it worth my time ... but I will have my eye on this thread ;)

It is a ridiculous rate. Laughable even.

You also have to ask yourself, what are they using these solved CAPTCHA for? Are they testing them to see if they are legible? I don't think so. I think they are using them to bot other sites.

One of the reasons I've always stayed clear of data entry sites, is because wherever I go, I hear horrible feedback! Most of claims point to the fact that the majority of these sites are scams, and they pay very, very little. Plus, if it's anything like regular data entry work, it will require speed and accuracy, neither of which I have LOL
