Those papayas looked so healthy and I could see them every day as that house was right in front of our gate across the road. .

We have had papayas but these days because of heavy rain they have all died. The papayas that we get in the market have no taste but those that we have grown were juicy and full of flesh

The weather is good nowo and there are many papaya saplings that I hope will soon grow and start yielding

This is definitely a hybrid papaya tree. The yield with this breed is always double of what most local breeds produce.

It just happened to be growing that way as I doubt the neighbours chose a hybrid variety

Papayas don't grow in my country, unfortunately! I don't buy it often as they are pretty expensive here so I wish I had a papaya tree in my yard!

Here they are called poor man's fruit. They grow easily and most gardens have them.
