The best part of my day was when I saw that the Mariners overpowered the Blue Jays by winning both away games with them and the next stop is back home.

I woke up with a headache. Took aspirin and waited until it kicked in. I'm doing OK now.

It's Friday, so I'm trying not to work too hard. Sometimes you need to slow down.

Didn't really do anything exciting today. My partner had to go to the doctor, then we went out for breakfast and do our weekly big shop at the supermarket.

Spent the morning exercising my freedom of speech while I still have it. Then did some online work.
God Bless the USA.

I am planning on being able to prepare iced tea the way a restaurant does, and taste.

Lately, the iced tea that I prepare, whether sweet or unsweetened, tastes awful!

Do you like the flavored tea? I just saw a flavor I didn't even know existed. Peach Hibiscus.

One of my kids likes Hibiscus tea. But I've never seen Peach Hibiscus.

Today was a pretty full day. Had some guests over earlier, we chatted, had some snacks, and caught up.

Yes, I have prepared Hibiscus iced tea before, but I cannot afford such tea bags. :( :( Yes, delicious. ;) ;)

Next, every Sunday, I prepare lunch for the roommate and her boyfriend after their church services. The 2 tell myself what the 2 want.
This upcoming Sunday, they want eggs and sausage links. The roommate's boyfriend likes alot of side dishes so I can choose the sides. A friend on weight loss buddy said to serve cinnamon butter toast. Do any of you know what other sides to serve?

My roommate is doing some personal shopping in the city today.

She aaked myself twice today what my favorite color is.

What is she up to? ;) ;)

One of my kids used to work for a company, and one of their employee perks was Starbucks gift cards. She used the gift card to buy the tea.

I am proud of myself!

A friend gave myseif a 16 oz bag of lentils last month. I have never prepared and never eaten lentils soup before.

I wanted to celebrate Meatless Monday and the lentils came to mind!

So, I got out my Crock-Pot, the bag of beans, a can of diced tomatoes, a can of sliced potatoes, some bouillon cubes, a Crock-Pot liner then finally some water.

Cooked on LOW for 6 hours and voila!

Delicious! ;) ;)

What was a new recipe for you?

A new recipe I tried years ago was cheesecake.

If you buy cheesecake, it's very expensive. For some reason - in my mind - I figured if it was that pricey, it probably wasn't easy to make.

Then I found a recipe in an old cookbook, and I was shocked!
I had no idea it was so easy to make a cheesecake.

After that, for the holidays, I often make a cheesecake for dessert. I came up with various ways to modify the recipe.

Is the recipe a no-bake? If so, would you PM the recipe? Thank you!

I have not been able to fit into any of my blue jeans for months now. I just put on a pair a little while ago! Not granny pants either!

So, I am wondering, for my Christmas present, do I give myself more leggings or some blue jeans?

It's not no-bake, but it's a common recipe, all over the Internet.

Just Google easy cheesecake recipe OR easy cheesecake recipe no-bake.

Today I only had one lesson, which meant I could get down to some proper cleaning. So I did a deep clean where I usually just do a quick zap. Then I made dinner early: Bubble and Squeak it is tonight :)

In a few more days, I'll be celebrating American Thanksgiving. I'm helping my daughter shop for the meal.
