India is celebrating Diwali..

Postby arunima » 20 Oct 2025, 16:23

Happy Diwali..India is celebrating the festival of lights, Diwali today. And as I sit and make this post, I can hear loud crackers outside. The festival of light celebrates Goddess Laxmi, who is the Goddess of wealth, prosperity, fortune and wellness. It's actually the symbolic presentation of our inner light and spiritual wellness. Spiritual health and wellness is achieved when we align our body, mind and soul to our true inner self and strive for the higher purpose of life..
In today's commercialized world, the festival is just seen as celebrating the physical wealth and material possession. The real meaning is lost.

I glanced at a news report that said Trump was celebrating Diwali.
Why bother? Narendra Modi already got chummy with Xi Jinping.
Is the leader of China celebrating the festival? Probably not cause he don't have to SUCK UP and CURRY FAVOR!

Diwali is a very interesting festival with a deep meaning. It is not just about the outer light but also the inner light that makes us better people. Remembering Goddess Laxmi is a way to celebrate the blessings of life, not just wealth but also health and peace of mind.

It is true that today’s world is full of commercialism and external things. Many people see Diwali as a time to buy new things and enjoy wealth. But the true meaning of spirituality and inner peace is slowly being lost. This is a bit sad.

If we go back to the roots of this festival, we can connect with our souls more deeply. The light of Diwali should teach us to have hope, love and a higher purpose in life. I really like this message.

I'm not sure if this report is accurate (they tend not to report this on mainstream media). But if it is … it's freaking hilarious!

The story goes: Our FBI Director Kash Patel – Trump hand-picked him – got on his social media account to wish people Happy Diwali and MAGA folks left comments like:

-Go back to your country!
-America is a Christian nation.
-You're not welcome here.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

DUMB STUFF!!

I concur with you. The real meaning of many festivals is lost.
Pomp, show off, over spending are becoming too dominant.
Plus Commercial enterprises somehow try to trap consumers in "Discount" mania, and make them buy too much.
